Route Sixty-Six
In a garden long, long ago…
A story of innocence betrayed
Creation complete
Sweet fruits of love
When Adam met Eve
Knowledge is good
Teased the Serpent’s tongue
The bond of trust now broken
From Eden departed
Along Route Sixty-Six
Along the Exodus trail
Wandered God’s chosen
Tired, hungry, sunburnt by day
And in darkness frozen
‘Better in bondage’ they began to wail
Prophets and Kings
Signposted the way
Past Calvary’s crossroad
On man’s darkest day
Genesis, one, ascending
Revelation, Sixty-Six ending
Book by book through history’s trail
God’s highway of hope told its tale

Intriguing, Graham! I looked
Intriguing, Graham! I looked up about the US Route 66. I was reminded of making a sticker for kids as a logo saying 'I know the best 66 books!'.
Certainly the Book (of 66 books!) gives the message for all of God's road to Calvary to rescue from the foolish rebellion, and the life we can receive because of it – bound to him but free from the bondage to sin (as for them from slavery in Egypt). and to eternal glory with him. Rhiannon
