A Siren Sang Of Love
A Siren sang of love
Powerless to resist her call
Her glittering gaze
Breasts of alabaster
A form hewn by God
Her silky voice
Drew me close
This mirage did not fade
Her radiance was all-consuming
Yet not her body,
But her very soul caressed me
I fell in love from the inside out
The everlasting selfless love
Bubbled from the fountain of her core
Her Corinthian love became my cradle
Where solace, joy and laughter
Warmed my barren soul.
Now, as carnal streams begin to dry
She floods my heart with real love;
It was always there – waiting patiently
Maybe I was slow,
But now we stand side by side.
Equal in the sight of God
And glowing in the gift of love.
To Angela, my wife
