Time Is Ticking

 

Metronomic, a watcher marks every moment

Essence of life breathed in at birth, a race to run

Ascending or descending at life’s end, the clock stops ticking

Saint or sinner, sheep or goat

Under the gaze of my higher power

Rapture one, or rapture two

Every deed in detail; time is ticking

Well done! While the clock ticks, we've time to realise we'll never measure up to our desires, or his, but can turn for grace for the rest of the ticking time and for when the clock stops! Rhiannon

Lovely contribution to the IP.  I like the way that 'ticking' at the end reflects 'metronomic' at the start.  Very well thought out.
