Tock Tick (Happy Hour Twice)
Happy Hour once repeated
Your Round again I fear
Wobbling, still not defeated
Gravity insistently near
A second chance, an empty glass
Fermented vegetables downing
Vacuously spinning the room so vast
All hope of conscious thought is drowning
Such brutal battering of the liver
The brain too gives up the fight
Stealth-like death delivers
Reason, rational thought takes flight`
Tock Tick time backwards stutters
The toper no longer standing
Long before the slamming shutters
Time expired on the landing

Ah, but surely happy hour is
Ah, but surely happy hour is the best time to have the extra hour because the whole point of it is that that's when the strong drink is a bit cheaper.
What you wouldn't want is the adjustment to be on Sunday morning so that you'd have an extra hour of hangover. Oh, hang on a minute ... that is what they really do!
I love your poem. It made me smile.
