Sit still, let the lights bore in
be a child-like pet, so illiterate
take the pills and wash them down
turn that smile into a frown
wear the gown, let the smile wear out
don't need to shout, be shy not coy
you have no scars on your wrists
you don't need to be a little boy
take some medicine
slowly shuffle in repetition
pretty soon the stars will shine
you'll feel so sweet and divine
no reason to cry
and escape; to pass this on as suicide
the pain will subside one day
and you'll die inside one time
when the colors betray you
you that no matter how much you pray
no one can save you
But I
know that I won't disobey you
when the darkness starts to bore inside
open your eyes and step out
make sure that he is not your enemy
run or escape
this plutocratic rape
of your army.
sit still, let the nights wear on and on
the songs are on repetition now
the pain you don't understand is still there
we keep fighting for reason
but we're still being spied on some how
don't go into that room
it will fill you with a sickness
unless you have no choice
unless you have no voice
but when you sing the rain is weeping
and if
that makes you cry
then you're worth keeping
be quiet, memories continue to sort
but I don't want to be here alone
I miss you
I miss you
I miss you
this is my issue
repetition
dreaming without peace in this submission
our hopes and fears are their
attraction
a momentary distraction
from the things we want you to think
from the things we want you to see
in one moment
we are blinking and ok
and in another moment
we are suddenly afraid
from all the places you've never gone
and there you won't ever be
this therapy
the medicine
is it wrong
for the bipolar patient
histories on a screen
a loud machine that we never had seen
a beautiful mind that found everything
for me
this is for you this was not for you
just because we were through
there's nothing we can do
there's nothing we can do
that we can't do
that we could not do
we can't do everything for you
what were they asking for
miracles
work
though the scars from war
haven't disappeared
the engineering has been complete
she's all we feared inside in fact
She's not even here
anymore.
She's all of us
all four.
