It creeps through the darkness,
Hiding from the sun's shining face,
Its ghostly tendrils slide across the ground,
Sneaking silently where the light doesn't shine.
It flees from the street lamps,
And the glow of the house windows,
Which burn its dark skin,
And scatters it into the alleys and dark gardens.
It hides from the people,
Scuttling behind them,
But always following unseen,
Watching them unoticed with curious eyes.
Then the daylight comes,
The sun filling the sky,
Chacing it away,
To the few dark corners where the light never shines.

I liked this very much,

I liked this very much, particularly the third verse, which for me was much stronger and more original than the rest. It evokes an image that will stay with me.
Because I'm a pedant (sorry!) I will mention the 'it's' where it should be 'its', and you need to check some of your spelling.
Otherwise very readable.
