Happy Valley 7/8

She did her best to try and sleep on the floor, with her head resting on her bicycle saddle and must have dropped off, because the next morning her plan for escape was firmly in her head.
Fortunately the door had been unlocked, so she was able to go back into the taproom. None of the goblins seemed to have moved during the night.
Most of them grinned at her and then burst into loud laughter when the goblin at the bar asked her if she’d had a good rest, but none of them followed her when she went outside.
She studied the steep cliff face looking for a route she could climb which would give her lots of handholds. It was far too difficult for any ordinary person, but her plan was to make herself so light that she’d more or less float up, using her hands only to move in the right direction.
She chose the most promising looking part of the cliff on the side of the valley nearest the Witches’ Home. She carefully tucked her saddle inside her boiler suit, patted herself on the head and twiddled her thumb until she could feel her feet trying to leave the ground, then she started climbing.
She was about a hundred feet up when the first of the goblins came out to see what she was doing. He shouted for all the others to come and have a look and then began trying to follow her.
Several of the others tried as well but they all fell after climbing about ten feet. Then they just shouted at her and shook their fists, before going back into the pub.
She continued climbing until she nearly reached the top. It had been quite sheltered down in the valley but as she got higher the wind became stronger.
She was just thinking of making herself a little heavier, when a stronger gust than usual blew her off the cliff face and up into the air. She panicked for a moment and then realised that the wind was blowing her in the direction she wished to travel.
She did another quick twiddle to make herself a bit lighter, so that she wouldn’t fall too fast if the wind dropped and then settled down to enjoy this new way of flying.
