The statue 11/15

Jennifer Jane was quite glad to get out of the Home and ride Major up to the castle. Whatever it was that she’d done to get such respect 300 hundred years ago, she’d no idea, but it seemed to have made a very deep impression on the witches in this time.
Just for a comparison with famous people of her own time, she went back three hundred years or so in her thoughts and nearly fell off Major in surprise. Supposing Samuel Pepys or Charles the second had come to her dad’s house as children and tried to convince him who they really were! Her opinion of Matilda went up a lot as she suddenly realised how far into the future she’d really gone. Still there was a job to do and by now Major had brought her to the castle ruins.
She guessed that the Ley line had been interrupted somehow when the castle had collapsed, so she walked carefully round the ruin in a circle, keeping well away from any dangerous looking parts. She was quite pleased with her guesswork, as she found the line on the side furthest from the Witches’ Home, but nothing at all on the nearer side.
She thought for a moment and then decided to take a risk and go down into the magic tunnel to see if she could find anything obvious stopping the flow. She stamped on the ground in a suitable spot and looked round just in time to see the horrified expression on Major’s face as she disappeared into the earth.
