Waiting for a lady
I’m sitting on a chair outside
The loo in a department store
I’m waiting for my partner
Like many gents before
Why ladies spend so long in loos
In a mystery no man knows
But I know we have to wait for them
That’s how the story goes
Now men are very different
They must have simpler gear
You never see ladies waiting
For their men folk to appear
Zip down, zip up wash hands
The job is now complete
Then out again to wait for hours
Thank god there is a seat
Above this chair there ought to be
Inscribed upon a metal plate
A message plain for all to see
“We also serve who only sit and wait”
----OOOO----

Hello Geoffrey didn't anyone ever tell you about the queues there always are in women's loos? That's why it takes so long!

Hi Geoffrey,
I suppose it's because women like to brush their hair,
and touch up their makeup, obviously to look good for
you. Great poem, had a bit of a giggle.
Jenny.
