What a geezer
Left his home
Back in Rome
Went to Gaul
And stood tall
Stuffed the Celts
Gave them welts
Then to Blighty
He was mighty
Cool as ice
Did it twice
Guys in Italy
Hated him bitterly
What a bore
Civil war
Stopped the rot
Killed the lot
Went out east
Had a feast
Met Cleopatra
Heart went pattera.
Had some fun
Son of a gun.
Many a Roman
Said “why no man
Can be king
Bad bad thing!
On the Ides
Before he hides
Do him in
he can’t win.”

to a knife
lots in fact
as he quacked
