Final Chapter

I lived with you... in my life
But through one mistake,
I ruined my future.
Our future.
I knew that we were made for each other
But still I wandered,
Far from your grasp.
And
Because of one false move,
You were locked out.
You locked yourself out,
As if to punish me in some way.
You broke my heart
In which my love for you
Was cherished for all those months.
Is that all I deserve?

All i have left
Are fond and happy memories
Of times we shared
Alone or in company
You managed to find a way,
Through any barriers of shyness or embarrassment
To show your love for me.

Now,
You have returned
To torture me.
Not by banishing me from your life
As before.
Instead,
You relight the flame in my heart;
The flame that only you could touch.
You try to smother me with kisses
But now, I'm with another.
Another who,
Becasue of you
I no longer want to be with.
I want to be with you,
For the rest of my life.
