Finally! we got the flat! woohoo! so now i have a place in a quiet area of zamalek, just round the corner from my favorite (cheap) pasta place, with a makwagy (laundry service) next door. and big windows and comfy couches. everything i wanted. Just need to bring in my curtains and cushions and funky carpets, make it more Bless Girl.
I am so excited!
saturday is official move in and clean-to-death Day, the owner was really sweet, he actually gave us our keys before even signing a contract or taking money. cool, huh?
on the downside he's asking for two months rent in advance, so i will be living on a measly 500 for the whole month, which is impossible given the fact that i have to buy food and stuff for the house, staples like kitchen towels and gloves and mats and disco lights... wait, did i say disco lights? oh yeah! and big lightbulbs to put around the bathroom mirror (i like good lighting for makeup- otherwise i look like godzilla with a sunburn)
oooh and big cushions! cant forget big cushions!
sadly the money i was saving up for my ipod is probably going to go into surviving the month and maybe getting a gym membership,but i'm going to try and sneak into the AUC dorm gym nearby, it's only 50 a month. the other swanky gym is a horrifying 700 a month... OUCH!

have i mentioned i'm so excited? i'm not going to get much sleep this weekend! ooh maybe i should party on thursday and friday while i still have the chance!
Must call nancy and mariam, cant wait to tell them!
mariam might be bummed, she wanted to share with me but knew would have to work on parents for ages. i know. i am a nadla.
maybe she can share my room with me, that is if i get the big room i want.
*sharpens nails*
