I didn't know anything about life in high school , neither was I ready
for it.

All summer I tried to figure out how am I gonna dress, talk, eat or do
anything. Once I tried
on my brand new high school uniform but I just couldn't imagine myself
being part of the
Wisconsin High School Student body.

The first day of school we were gathered at a classroom on the second
floor .Everyone looked
excited. Lisa Strawn one of my friends from last year was there.

After telling us the rules and other stuff , the principal , called
each of our names.

"Michelle Johnson?"

That girl was here? Ugh! I don't like her. She sometimes would be
talking to you like she was
your only best friend just to turn around and tell things to other
behind your back.

"Gilli Newsin?"

That's me! I stood up proudly.

In September I was feeling really good about High School . Somehow I
thought it was gonna
be more fun than last year. Boys were becoming an interesting thing to
me now , I even got a
crush on this guy , James Scottson.

One day I was walking in the gym when I saw a guy playing volleyball
his name was Paul Keister.

"Come 'ere. Lets play" he shouted when I was getting near the net from
the other side.

It turned out his was a sophomore and that he was Italian , something
I didn't really
expected. But he was nice, kinda good- looking, about my height,
muscular figure, strong
hands, short black hair , a skin so white you could even compare it
with the volleyball's and
bright brown eyes that when you looked at them you felt like they
control you. He tried to be a
joker , but his jokes weren't that funny , thought , I didn't care. I
started talking to him almost
everyday. He was becoming more and more cute everyday.

Some of the guys are ignoring me , but I don't care. I'm not into
talking to em, anyway.

I met this girl , her name's Gilli and she's a freshmen or should I
say freshgirl. Anyway, she's
fine! I can't act the way I feel cuz then she'll notice and I don't
wanna be the laughing stock of
the class. No, no. I look for other ways to impress her and be with her
.I don't talk to her that
much, I'm afraid something I say might be stupid or something I'll
regret , so I look at her as
much as I can without her noticing.

The other day, in the morning, I glanced at her fine legs, she looked
my way and I immediately
glanced at the other way so she couldn't noticed that I was looking at
her.

He is looking at me! I was somehow excited but didn't act like it. I
always sit with the guys and
notice Paul looking at me. I would turn my head to see him directly but
he would turn his. After
that I would got up to my locker and home room in the third floor. His
home room's next to
mine! When he sees me in my home room he greets me with a kiss on the
cheek. I feel
embarrassed but good at the same time. Some days he greets me and I
smell his cologne all
day long.

School was getting so boring I brought my Checkers game.

"May I borrow your game?" Paul asked

I was in the school cafeteria eating and talking to my friends when he
showed up from my side
of the table.

"Excuse me" I said to my friends "Huh? You wanna borrow my game? For
what?"

"To play with my friends. Please"he said with a pleading smile that
broke my heart so much I
stood up and went to get the game with him.

"Thanks" he said

"No problem. So, what can you tell me about yourself?" I asked
curious

He thought I was dying for him. Well, let me tell you! I'm not!
Actually yeah, but not like
actually kill myself for him, well, something like that. Since I didn't
know that much about him I
asked him for more details but he thought I meant his phone
number.

Is he jerk? I asked myself returning to the cafeteria, forgot about
him after that.

Three months passed in a flash. Now we were in December , enjoying
Christmas.

Paul had been the same , but I think he's not as interested in me as
he was before.

On Jan. when we came from our Christmas vacations everybody was a
little grumpy about
coming to school again. But some came happy to see their friends , like
me. I was happy to see
Paul. Believe it or not I missed him over x-mas.

When we were in home room, I stood in the door and a boy came to the
room. He was new to
school, good-looking, blond-haired , with brown highlights, gorgeous ,
had thick lips and
beautiful green eyes.

He stepped between my body and the door looking staring at me , then
turning to talk to our
home room teacher Mrs. Delgado . At that moment, when I turned around
after making eye
contact and almost body contact too, Paul was coming to his home room.
When I turned
around he was smiling but after he saw the new boy , he turned deadly
serious and didn't even
say hi or anything.

One week later, when I was in my home room, Paul came and greeted me
as he used to.I
thought he must have forgot about Alex Joshua Corsten , the new boy.
After Paul came and
kissed me on the cheek , he stood deadly serious again staring straight
into the room very
steadily he looked like a statue. Alex holding a book in his hand stood
looking at him directly ,
in the room , forgetting about me.

That day at lunch hour , I was outside the cafeteria talking with Alex
when Paul appeared with
a smile that vanished when he saw us together. And I could see that
Alex wasn't very happy
either.

"Gilli"he said giving me a kiss in the cheek "they're looking for you
in the office"

"What do you think you're doing? "Alex asked backing him up
angrily

Paul ignored him and continued walking to one of the benches in the
entrance of the school

When I came outside I noticed Paul playing catch with his friends
.

Alex passed behind the guy that was catching the ball. Paul had the
ball and threw it over
Alex's feet .Alex trip over when he stood up Paul had a big grin in his
face.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Did I do that? "Paul asked teasing

"You'll see what you did ..."

They went down hard. At first I thought they were kidding . I turned
around and saw my
friends were staring to get over Paul and Alex's faces.I notice another
guy , big ,tall ,looked like
a monster to me , hitting Paul at the same time Alex kicked Paul.I
immediately recognized the
big dude as Sebastian Lorenz , one of the seniors that Lisha had a
crush on.John Winchester,
Jorge Alonso , Nelson Young , they were all hitting poor Paul, while
Sebastian and Alex did the
same since they were all friends.

After beating Paul Alex stopped his friends whom had blood in their
hands ,in their shoes if
they were kicking. Alex grabbed Paul by his bloody shirt and pulled him
to his feet.

"I don't want you near Gilli again, you here me?"

Then threw him to the floor as if he was garbage.

And if you think that's amazing you won't believe what was next. First,
Paul ex-girlfriend was
transferred to our school. She's a sophomore ,Irene Lopez. Then she
found out about Paul's
feelings for me. She and Michelle decided to ruin my life by making
stupid pranks and
embarrassing me in front of the whole school.

A week after that, Alex came to school with a cast in his arm saying
that he went to one of
Paul's baseball games and that he was attacked by Paul and his friends
outside the field.

A week later rumors started to float around saying Alex and his
friends got suspended after
attacking Paul at the side of the parking lot under a big tree after
school. That Monday
neither of them were seen at school.

And if that wasn't enough , I was flunking History and Algebra. Last
two Algebra tests I got
D and not to mention History , last three quizzes I got an F, a B and a
D. So you see if I don't
raise my grades my mom's gonna kill me.

Man! I got suspended for 2 whole weeks and I didn't even touch the guy.
I mean , just for giving
him black eyes and a pair of bruises doesn't give you the right to
suspend someone for that
long. Even though I got rid of the fake cast I had , my arm was hurting
a little.

I hate it! Gilli's ignoring my calls, ignoring my kisses ,I don't know
what's wrong with her.

After those weeks of doing nothing but feeling miserable for myself ,
I returned to school.
Everything seemed to be normal, yet Gilli still wasn't talking to
me.

At the end Alex and his friends were expelled from school after
fighting for the second time.
They kept coming back, but I stayed with Paul no matter what that he
did even if he is a
stupid imbecile.
