AUTUMN IS HERE
Autumn has made the trees,
Shed their leaves,
And fall on the ground,
And turn into brown.
When feet trample on them,
They give a crunchy sound,
When cattle tread over the heap,
Their hooves sink like in the deep.
The stray dog runs over them,
The stray cat runs up and down,
Enjoying the crunchy munchy noise,
That the dry leaves give out.
The wind comes once a while,
And blows the dry ones wild,
They move here and there,
With no efforts of their own.
These leaves are no more a part,
Of the tree of which it was,
And from the ground below,
They see new leaves have come.
They are swept and cleaned,
But the autumn comes again,
And takes away the old ones,
For the new ones to come.
