ABC to me???
It was the month of March - last year - I was watching the programme
'Click On-line' on BBC, from where I came to know about ABCtales.com It
took a couple of days for me to start writing on ABC.
My first poem 'Holi - The Riot of Colours' did have a lot of readers
which encouraged me to continue with my work on this site.
Very soon I got my first cherry, which did boost me a lot, though I
don't have many of those lovely cherries.
One thing I feel very happy is, my writings, have been read. Thank you
all who have patiently gone through my work.
I have not been very steady with my writings, out of my daily schedule
I try to do some writing, because I love to write.
I know my writings reflect mostly on my country, and most of you must
be finding me 'the odd man out' because I come from a country with a
different culture, tradition, language, caste, religion and ??.. .But
till now I have never felt left out, that's a great thing with all
those associated with ABC.
On 19th November 2002, Tony read out my story 'The Lost Doberman' at
the live ABCtales event in London and I still remember those words of
his in his mail to me, 'it went down a storm'. For me London is a place
I have read about and seen in the map and atlases. What else can I say
about it ???? (emotional).
There are a lot of excellent works on ABC by talented writers which I
enjoy reading. But one thing I miss from ABC is that I have not found
many friends there, Sooz and Barry Wood are the only people with whom I
have developed friendship via email. I blame myself as I have never
tried to write to anyone, may be it would have been different if I had
dropped a few lines after enjoying someone's writing. There is time to
overcome all this.
I do feel very homely with ABC for no one has hurt me with harsh
comments but I feel some comments can help me to improve. I hope my
friends will help me.
Now I have been with the ABC family for over ten months. The internet
has bridged the wide gap and I can be there at anytime I want.
I love the platform - (can I call it a platform with all excuses)
"ABCtales.Com".
