Nothing New.

One of my favourite kings in history is the great king Nebuchadnezzar. He was very, very powerful, he made his name in history and even has a very large bottle of wine named after him. But he lived, and died.

Then there was the lovely great king Darius, he was a Persian ruler. He did a lot of good, he too, lived and died.

I also loved the great Persian king called Xerxes I, wow what a powerful man! He too made his mark in history, and he also lived a good live and then he died!

Hitler, as powerful as he was, he’s not here now! He sadly made his mark in history. So far, none of the above named lived to be over one hundred years old. History is more than a lifetime, Powerful people, whoever they were, or whoever they are now, they won’t be a ruler forever. Us humans, our time to do good or bad or nothing at all, is short, it might be some who are here on this Earth, make a difference age just five, or like the great, to me she is great, the awesome Christina Noble OBE. She is still with us. Her books they are inspirational.

But I digress, with powerful rulers, there has always been wars, there is a least ten major wars happening right now around the world, and has been going on for years and years, where children, women, men they are all been murdered!

So, who is the latest ruler in history, Putin? His war will come and go. I believe, God who has the world in His hands, knows the beginning and the end, He knows Kings or Rulers, we are so tiny in His vast universe. I love that video that shows Earth, then it pulls back and shows the next bigger planet, dwarfing the Magnificent Earth that we live on, then the video pulls back again and the Earth isn’t even a dot next to it! WOW we are all part of a bigger picture. There are lots of videos like this but one of them is called, Planet Earth compared to others, but as clever as mankind is, they cannot stop themselves from dying, or from fighting each other!

I try to avoid watching the news, but I can’t escape it, for at work there is a television in the office and one worker always have it on the BBC and it replays constantly every hour. It is a worrying time, for us all, if we bury our heads in the sand or not, wars around the world, they are still happening and life is still happening in our own little corner of the world and death. My Lovely, hardworking Mummy is going for her dementia assessment on Thursday, and my lovely Auntie has breast cancer. So, despite the wars, around the world, there is still sadness, near and far.

I have read the last book in the Bible, the Revelations, so I know how it all ends and I reading now, again, about a great, kind, and highly respected man called Job. He went through hell and back! He ended up a Winner!

So, if you haven’t read The Bible lately, now would be a good time, first watch the video I mentioned, it is not a religious video, but it is absolutely fabulous! My favourite translation is The Living Bible, it is easy to read and understand, or the Good News Bible.

I have enjoyed reading your piece Grace. After getting myself all wound up by watching the news over and over again at the moment, I am finding your reminder that wars and powerful rulers all must pass very comforting. Because you are right. Putin and his war cannot last so long. In the truth of the world his power will pass, and Ukraine and its people will largely survive this, and the western nations will be protected by time!

We are all part of a bigger picture!

There is Nothing New under the Sun.

When the Coronavirus was in the news for two years none of us could ignore if we watched the news or not. In our lifetime there has always been wars somewhere in the World.But this war none of us can ignore, it is everywhere on the telly the papers on facebook .......lots of people are talking about it 24/7 I too watched the news one day at work too and it was deep! I was getting myself all wound up too. I had to remind myself who is in control of the Past the Present and the Future. You see David none of us here on Earth could make the Sun Moon and Stars  etc which such precision. God only. And when I say God, I mean the God who is The Maker of Heaven and Earth. No other God can do that. When He sends His thunder and lightening we take note, He can't be ignored. He sends His beautiful rainbow. If mankind likes it or not but He is Lord. Yes we all have choices we can ignore God ...... for now. but there is also coming a Day of Judgment! Where we all the Living and those who have died will have to give an account of what we have done with our Lives. This is when Heaven and hell will come in to the next and final stage. For those who are not Born Again,  meaning they have not asked God to forgive them their sins, will Not be going to Heaven. Then there will be only two groups those  of people, those who God takes to Heaven the rest will go to hell. Forver. Forever is a long time. There is a beautiful Song called Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved......By Hillsong based on a Bible verse if you Google it you will find the verse.

If you haven't got a Bible everything is on line now. May I suggest you read the Bible The first book the Last book Daniel, Joel, Matthew Chapter 24, the Psalms everything we need is in there, it is our Map to Heaven. God is only a Prayer away, from you, you only need to pray with a sincere Heart. God Bless you David. the Name David means Loved by God. x

Job 38

Living Bible

38 Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind:

2 “Why are you using your ignorance to deny my providence? 3 Now get ready to fight, for I am going to demand some answers from you, and you must reply.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. 5 Do you know how its dimensions were determined, and who did the surveying? 6-7 What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

8-9 “Who decreed the boundaries of the seas when they gushed from the depths? Who clothed them with clouds and thick darkness 10 and barred them by limiting their shores, 11 and said, ‘Thus far and no farther shall you come, and here shall your proud waves stop’?

12 “Have you ever once commanded the morning to appear and caused the dawn to rise in the east? 13 Have you ever told the daylight to spread to the ends of the earth, to end the night’s wickedness? 14 Have you ever robed the dawn in red, 15 and disturbed the haunts of wicked men, and stopped the arm raised to strike?

16 “Have you explored the springs from which the seas come, or walked in the sources of their depths? 17-18 Has the location of the gates of death been revealed to you? Do you realize the extent of the earth? Tell me about it if you know! 19 Where does the light come from, and how do you get there? Or tell me about the darkness. Where does it come from? 20 Can you find its boundaries, or go to its source? 21 But of course you know all this! For you were born before it was all created, and you are so very experienced!

22-23 “Have you visited the treasuries of the snow, or seen where hail is made and stored? For I have reserved it for the time when I will need it in war. 24 Where is the path to the distribution point of light? Where is the home of the east wind? 25-27 Who dug the valleys for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning, causing the rain to fall upon the barren deserts, so that the parched and barren ground is satisfied with water and tender grass springs up?

28 “Has the rain a father? Where does dew come from? 29 Who is the mother of the ice and frost? 30 For the water changes and turns to ice as hard as rock.

31 “Can you hold back the stars? Can you restrain Orion or Pleiades? 32 Can you ensure the proper sequence of the seasons, or guide the constellation of the Bear with her satellites across the heavens? 33 Do you know the laws of the universe and how the heavens influence the earth? 34 Can you shout to the clouds and make it rain? 35 Can you make lightning appear and cause it to strike as you direct it?

36 “Who gives intuition and instinct?[a] 37-38 Who is wise enough to number all the clouds? Who can tilt the water jars of heaven, when everything is dust and clods? 39-40 Can you stalk prey like a lioness, to satisfy the young lions’ appetites as they lie in their dens or lie in wait in the jungle? 41 Who provides for the ravens when their young cry out to God as they try to struggle up from their nest in hunger?
