PPI.

Recently over the last three months I have had one, two or three pest/scam phone calls every day. After each call I block the number, when there was a number, as some were withheld.
Yesterday when I was at work, a gentleman with poor, broken, English rang me he said, “I am calling about your PPI claim, you have been awarded £2,500.” He then said, “Your name is …..?” I replied, “That is correct,” He said, “Your address is…..?” I replied, “That is correct,” He went on, “Your postcode is…..?” I said, “That is correct.” Then he said to me, “All I need now from you is your date of birth.” I said to him, “I have had everyday fake scammers ringing me up, up to three times a day, I am not giving it to you,” I went on, “Do you have my date of birth there?” He replied, “I have it here, I have all of your details, right here in front of me.” I said, “Good.”
He repeated himself, and I said, “I am not giving you my date of birth.” He said, “What shall I do with your money?” I said, “Post it to me, you have all my details,” He said, “The rule is, I have to have your date of birth.” I said, “Well I’m not giving it to you.” “He said, “What shall I do with your money?” I replied, “Do with it what you want.” He said, “OK then,” And put the phone down.
I blocked his number, but it did give me food for thought, was he kosher? Was he yet another scam artist? I, just don’t know anymore. If they ring back again, I will ask them to post it to me, for what is so hard about that?
