My name is Mrs Red Capped-Robin and my neighbour is called Mrs Jones. She’s a lovely Bird, small and not like me who like to have the latest fad, and keep up with the times, that has always been important to me.
I little bird told me, that their three kids were now born, so I decided to go over and pay them a visit. I brought three of the best worms I could find, after all they represented me, and I was famous in the neighbourhood for having the best of everything.
I’d heard that they had used recycled goods to lined their nest, they can call it what they will, recycle or upcycle it would be the same to me, second hand goods!
But I love a good nose-around, so I went on the pretence of congratulating them on their three babies.
Well, I certainly hadn’t planned on even sitting down, but the luxury lined fur nest was something else! It was comfy, soft and very clean. I sat down, we chatted and laughed, it was all so relaxing. The three babies were healthy and happy. They devoured their worms.
After an hour or so I left, but it was me who had egg on my face. The following morning, I looked to see if I could find the same luxury recycled fur, so I could upcycle my house, so it too could become a home, but there was none left.
My views have certainly changed, “Thank you Mrs Jones.”
