I stood back to look at my handiwork, it was good but there was something missing. As I pondered what it was, something below caught my eye. It was a kind looking Human and his Pet.
I decided to investigate, as I flew down, I saw something that made my heart flutter with excitement. The Human was brushing her and wonderful fluffy fur was coming off her, it was there for the taking, so I went as near as I dared and put some in my beak, it felt light and fluffy. I flew back to the house and starting from the middle I carefully filled in the gaps, I went down for more.
They both saw me, but I didn’t feel afraid, her tail was wagging, she was on a lead, and I could see they were good ‘eggs’ excuse the pun.
There was plenty of it in abundance, so I was able to collect it and bring it back to the house. The bigger birds didn’t bother me, as it wasn’t food, or they were just not clever enough to realize this was a luxury find and on our doorstep.
I worked nonstop, going up and down until the nest was filled from top to bottom.
I stood back again, and looked at my handiwork. It was unlike any of my neighbours, for mine was lined with luxury, soft, clean fur.
It was perfect, it was no longer a house but a home. Our babies will love it.

What a smart bird, a fur
What a smart bird, a fur lined nest, warm and cozy. The big birds don't know what they're missing yet. Perfect lead in to part three..
