A very special Person died a few weeks ago, her name was Sandra Olive Smith. She touched many lives, she worked tirelessly, she was smart, clever, compassionate, no one was too poor, or too rich, their status in life didn’t affect her. Recently in tributes to her, even more truth of her goodness came out, of the secret things she did, she was very popular in her local community, and in the past had gone and did good works in poor countries.
She was not known to the world at large, but she is known to many. I will never forget how she helped me. When she was ill, many people expected she would get better again, with medicine and prayer. She had made Peace with her Creator.
It WAS a shock when I heard she had passed away. She wasn’t that old. Many are devastated, at her loss, for some Gems are just so good at what they do. They are true one-offs.
I asked one of my friends who live far away, “Are you going to her funeral?” She replied, “I sadly can’t because of my asthma and hay fever.” That was sad, for they go back a long way.
But worse news was to come, we were informed, only six people were allowed at her funeral! What sort of a send-off is that?
Then we had some good news, her funeral would be on-line. WOW! WOW! WOW! A funeral with a difference. Just like her, unique. Sad times for us all, (She didn’t die from the coronavirus) for her, there is no more pain.
I’ll need to make sure my phone or tablet is charged. Till we meet again, RIP.
