I thought I’d write a dark poem
So this is what I propose sowing
Wispy tendrils of ethereal thought
The kind of thing you can’t be taught
In the green woods, hung with ivy
The wandering girl pranced free and lively
Slender of figure, she danced in her gown
Spun and wheeled and leapt around
The mist hung dank in the morning light
The air was fresh and such a delight
The birds so bright fluttered in flight
Butterflies danced and alighted so light
In some shade the beast was watching
Silent and shaking with desire, but waiting
The girl danced in the shafts of light
The beast moved closer in dark delight
Close now it was and he could smell her flesh
Ready to pounce, when the time was right
Nearly, nearly just a few seconds more
Closer, closer it reached out his paw
The moment to grasp was now at hand
It leapt forward, and knocked her to ground
It’s teeth at her neck claws on her breast
She smiled at it peacefully and let out her breath.
