So here's to you, Mrs. Robinson

This poem is made out of song lyrics that radio Cambridgeshire listeners sent in. The idea was to see whether a narrative could emerge from all these seperate lyrics. :)
Sitting on the dock of the bay
I see you baby, shaking that ass
And it’s plain to see you were meant for me
And I’m your toy, your twentieth century boy
But you don’t want it that way
In the twist of separation you excelled at being free
And I’m crying in vain
See, I think we’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got
It doesn’t make a difference if we make it or not
All I want for Christmas is you
But it’s too late
I don’t know why she’s leaving or where she’s gonna go
But Nellie the Elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus
Of our love
I’m so lonely, I’m Mr lonely
You leave me breathless, um um um um um
Well you know what? That’s me in the corner, that’s me in the spotlight
Yeah, my breath smells of a thousand fags
And when I’m drunk I dance like me dad
But all the girlies say I’m pretty fly for a white guy
And you to me are everything
The sweetest song that I can sing
Oh baby oh baby
You can check out anytime but you can never leave
Cos every time we touch I get this feeling,
It’s…
Chico time
And in the jungle,
The mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight
But one day I’ll wake up
Little Suzy
Wake up
To this mad world
There’s an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin,
I’d do anything for love but I won’t do that,
A stale pork pie caught Ernie in the eye
And Ernie bit the dust,
They even paved paradise and put up a parking lot
See, there’ too many broken hearts in this world,
Too many dreams to be broken in two
So are we alone now?
No,
No
No no no no no no no no no no
There’s no limits
To my love
I believe I can fly
When you’re the wind beneath my wings
I bet you look good on the dance floor
So Lets Einstein a go go outta here
And hit me baby one more time
I predict a riot
Cos it’s a kind of magic
In the sunshine of your love
