Poem For My Gypsy Woman

I met you when my hands were tied
Not able to do a damn thing.
Looking in your eyes; running my fingers through your hair
Walking in your aura as the incense scented the sky.
I can feel you staring at me when my back is turned,
As I secretly glare at you in the mirror.
Only to see myself and my fears facing me instead of you.
My Gypsy Woman, will we ever walk on the same road?
I have a love that binds me to myself.
Knowing from another how you ache for me.
Understanding deep inside where my true love lies.
Never could I; Never should I; Never will I.
My Gypsy Woman, again in my life
Only to walk away alone and heart-broken.
Travelling endless paths searching for me over and over.
Letting her soul drag her along the way.
Maybe one day, possibly another time
We shall share our souls to each other.
But for now, I know where my heart lies
And must watch you leave without me.
