The Great Outdoors
The relaxing sound of chainsaws
Break the morning air
A hundred bucks a night
I can sit and stare
At all the metal monstrosities
Blocking all the trees
I thank my god for nature
As I fall upon my knees
I appreciate these roads paved
It makes it so easy
Why should I have to walk?
The outdoors should please me
I pay all my taxes, a perfect citizen
Because of that the natural world should bend
To my every whim, whatever I want
I spent lots of money on this machine I flaunt
All the way back home
Just a few miles away
I make a six figure income
So I should have my say
All these ugly tents
They look like shit to me
No one should be allowed
Without a shiny RV
There should be a brand new law
That disallows the wind
Inconvenient are the snakes and bugs
So they too should end
I pay all my taxes, a perfect citizen
Because of that the natural world should bend
I don’t really like cooking all my food
I have all the money, nature should fit my mood
There should be McDonald’s
And a yoga studio
I really need a Starbucks here
And the river should cease to flow
It’s way too hot at day
It’s way too cold at night
So I wait in my machine
Bitter and uptight
Why even bother here?
Filled with such remorse
Tear this bullshit down
And build a nice golf course
I pay all my taxes, a perfect citizen
Because of that the natural world should bend
Nature really sucks, full of misery
I make so much money, why am I unhappy?
