When your heroes are those
Who lack the courage
To live the life of an ordinary day.

Talking only of horizons
And what lies beyond.
You know you will awake
Alone again.

Without even the meagre comfort
Of his mythology
To carry you on through
Yet another dreamless day.

I like this, aure you sure it should be .. alone again, you could go 'together again,' since you then use 'his'... just a thought
