Nutfield Girl

I've been down
And I've been out
The only thing I used to count on
Was doubt
As I wandered lost
This big old world
Never met no one
Like my Nutfield Girl
Had my heart split in two
Sank to the bottom
Low and blue
Watching helplessly
My fate unfurl
I guess I was always waiting on
My Nutfield Girl
And the oceans and the rivers may rise
Hurricane and tornado blow
But when I look in to your eyes
You hold me steady and I won;t let go
Beneath the sun the moon the stars
into this universe we were thrown
Don;t know where it is going
Or how it began
But I want to be here with you now
My Nutfield Girl
Hair of brown and eyes of green
The most beauteous thing I've ever seen
Skin soft and white as pearl
You know I love you my Nutfield Girl
And the oceans and the rivers may rise
Hurricane and tornado blow
But when I look into your eyes
You hold me steady and I won't let go
