Valentines Day Dance
Once upon a time there was a young girl called Sakura, there is this boy that she fancies in school called Li which Sakura dreams about all of the time! He has golden brown hair that flies in the wind, with glistening brown eyes that shine in the golden rays of sunlight.
Sakura thinks to herself “How am I ever going to get noticed by Li when he is so dreamy and I am so ugly with knotty blonde hair and blue eyes, he is so popular and I am unpopular?” Valentines day is coming up soon and Sakura really wants to get Li to notice her by then.
“But that is impossible.” She thinks to herself with a gloomy look on her face.
She plugs in her headphones from her MP3 player and listens to My heart will go on by Celine Dion, she starts humming the tune quietly when suddenly she gets an idea and called her friend on her mobile phone and they started chatting.
“Hi heather, sorry to bother you so late, but I was wondering if you would give me a makeover for school tomorrow, there is only three days until the 'Valentines Day Dance' and I really want to impress Li so we can dance together also become boyfriend and girlfriend and live happily ever after with each other!” Sakura said while dreaming about them getting married.
“There is only one small problem with that brilliant plan.” Heather said sadly.
“What's that then?” Sakura said anxiously.
“Li's girlfriend!” Heather exclaimed.
“oh, in that case just forget what I said!” Sakura sighed and hung up the phone.
(at Heather's house) “Poor Sakura having trouble with her first school crush.” she said gloomily.
(the next day) “Good morning Sakura!” Sakura's mom said cheerfully.
“Oh hi mom, good morning to you too!” Sakura said happily and started getting dressed for school.
“Breakfast is ready, its pancakes, butter and golden syrup, your favourite” Sakura's mom said with a smile.
“Yummy, I will be down in a minute, mom, I just have to check something.” Sakura said hungrily. She opened her top drawer grabbed her diary and started writing.
“Dear diary, it is only two days till the valentines day dance and I cant go with my dream guy because he has a girlfriend and I am unpopular! Yours sincerely, Sakura Avalon.” She went downstairs, ate her breakfast and on the way to school Sakura met Heather and started chatting about the dance.
“So what's going to happen, are you still coming to the dance?” Heather asked politely.
“I figured there is no point in going to the if I am not going with Li!” Sakura said mopily.
“There is, you can be there for me and Drake, it's our anniversary on valentines day and I want it to be special with you by my side!” Heather said persuasively.
“Ok then but I am doing it just for you and Drake and your anniversary, ok so it's settled then I am going with you and Drake to the valentines day dance!” Sakura said understandingly. They reach school, finish all their lessons then suddenly outside of their class they heard screaming it was Li and his girlfriend having a fight and she broke up with him and he went home.
“This is your chance Sakura, tomorrow you are going to impress that boy with your good looks and charm!” Heather said with a grin.
“I am ugly not pretty, don't kid yourself!” Sakura said with a sad expression on her face.
“Well i'll soon fix that, don't you worry about anything just leave it all to me!” Heather replied. The next day at school everyone was shocked and amazed, who is this beautiful young girl with curly blonde hair, blue eyes that twinkle like stars in the night sky, skin that glows like fireflies and such a stylish trend? It was non other than the amazing SAKURA! When Li came into class and saw Sakura he thought she was a goddess sent from heaven!
He went up to her and said “You look beautiful, Sakura!”
“Thanks.” Sakura said with a embarrassed look on her face.
“Would you like to go to the valentines day dance with me as your date?” Li asked with a gleaming smile.
“Yes I would love to!” Sakura exclaimed.
Heather and Sakura were walking home together, Sakura dropped her off home and when she got to her own house she told her mom what happened and was really thrilled and exited, she got her dress and other stuff ready for the dance tomorrow. (the next day) The school bell rung for the end of the day and it was time for the dance, Sakura and Heather got dressed for the dance met their dates and started dancing and everyone lived happily ever after!
