All my life I've wandered
Over hills and over fields
The thing that I have pondered
Is just what my journeys yield
So much I've loved my wandering
I must ask the question why
Why will it be such a piteous thing
As in one small grave I lie

Oh, but the hope of salvation
Oh, but the hope of salvation is for an even better place – not sitting on clouds, or just in a small grave, but an even better 'new heaven and new earth' than the present, no problems, no disease! Rhiannon

Hello Edward,
Hello Edward,
to have made journeys and wandered over many hills and fields and been contented, makes me think you are writing about a person who doesn't like being closed in...hense the fear of being placed in a small grave.
This poem makes a lot of sense to someone who is claustraphobic, even though they know they'll be dead.
Jenny.
