Even though I hate her

Looking at the monster,
Lying next to me,
It's eyes tight close,
I longed to be free,
Nurses and Doctors,
Who think they know best,
Tell me exactly
What to do with the little pest,
Her skin is pink and soft,
Yet she's a little demon,
I look around for friends,
But I cannot see them,
She is my life now,
Or so they say,
Everything I do,
Has to include her in every way,
She's just so small,
So tiny and naïve,
Just take her away,
Hide her I plead,
I can't have a baby,
I'd be a useless mum,
She deserves two parents,
Not me on my own
I want to be a teen again,
Independent and cool,
But with my little baby,
My life is her and school,
Her eyes flicker open,
Like wings on a dove,
And even though I hate her,
I can't help feeling love.
