A virgin birth
One lonely night,
Brings the Saviour
Into sight.
He was a beacon
To all the world,
A perfect rose
Now unfurled.
His mission was
To save our souls,
And free from damnation
As the church bell tolls.
A humble byre
Was his bed,
A man of destiny
It is said.
But what became
Of such promise,
A cross on a hill
To take burden off us.
And now the world
Must learn to cope,
And live in love
Our only hope.

I like it, Hilary, and the simple brief structure. Though I thought also, that because he rose again to life it enables him now to help us cope and send his Spirit to grow that love in our hearts. So we need to learn his ways, but also see our need of asking his help to walk in them! Rhiannon
