One Day

Once all around me were smiles
Once all I could hear was laughter
Now everything seems to be a disaster
Though my dreams can't be far it seems like miles.

Once my heart felt content
Once I woke to the bright warm sun
Now all I feel is sadness
Though no harm was meant.

Day after day I hope for that sound
The sound of what it used to be
Sometimes I get annoyed and mad
