Blackwaterfoot
------------------b
Seagulls screech and caw
And swoop and hover
Crying like babies for food
In the distance the setting sun
Dissolves into the sea and boils
God has taken a razor
To cut it,s throat
And it bleeds
Into the horizon red and shimmering
The sky is a blue never seen before
Never been before
Noises from the hotel bar tell
Of fruit machines vying with the click clack of pool balls
And I sit with cold clear lager
Smelling the beached seaweeds
Two figures black against the haze
Cruch along the shore hand in hand
A penny for their thoughts
Peace
Perfect peace
