Angel - September 14 2002

09.48 am It's another weekend. I got my credit card statement this
morning and it shows I owe less than I thought. I may get another
guitar today as I have absolutely no taste, maybe a leather jacket and
a tee shirt and some more CDs, because when the war starts owing money
on credit cards is the least of worries.

And a flight case.

Yesterday (13) was a good day, as I was actually busy for once. I hate
being bored, I am easily distratced by boredom. I fed the cats and they
did not complain about the food provided which is usually a good
sign.

I got the 8.27 to London and listened to the von Bondies again, whose
album I really like. I went to the office and continued working on the
enormous spreadsheet I have been wokring on this week. TYhen when that
was done I continued setting up the new file server.

At lunchtime I bought the Yeah Yeah Yeah's EP, panini and latte and
then went in the NME chat for a while. I must learn to pay attention
more.

In the afternoon after four unsuccessful attempts the drive failed in
the file server so now it is configured as RAID 5 box with two
partitions. It took me about 45 minutes to get the server running once
I had dumped the busted drive. Then I got the train home. I listened to
the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and rang Kit for a chat as I do from time to
time.

I got in and played the Telecaster till I broke a string, and that
means restringing the guitar or getting a new set on Saturday. Maybe. I
have some spare sets somewhere.

I went in the NME chat and had a talk with people in there and also on
MSN. I also posted a few new posts on the Angst board where a topic
lasts about four hours before it drops off the first page (if it is
busy) or else it stays there overnight (if it is not so busy).

My wife went to her Mum and Dad's for the evening. I got an email from
one of the people I chat to and a comment that another had forgotten to
send me an email.

It's pretty sad going online checking email and seeing there is nothing
there new.

I did find a CD by a band called the Sonics and I had a listen to that.
That was good, then I went to bed.
