KRISHNA

Behold my smile, the sunbright pearl
That fuses gold across the sky;
Behold my eyes, the crystal fires
Soft-dreaming as the worlds spin by.
And hear awhile my quiet voice
Whisper the silence of a star -
The calling of them all by name,
The music of their bright domain.
Behold me in the flake of snow
Enmeshing thus the six-fold form;
Behold me in the Dawn arise,
And know my fury in the storm.
Yet feel awhile that I am here
Within this blossom on the tree;
Upon the clouds of rainbowed hue,
The opal bridge that bends the blue.
Behold the tempest tear the sky -
Within the windswept rains I weep;
Beyond the ways unseen I walk,
And in the mountain's cave I sleep.
Behold that in all things I am
The hidden heart that is as one
With every breath that Heaven takes -
I am the Life that Light awakes.
Behold the deepness of the seas,
The jewelled kingdoms tossed therein;
The whisper of the spangled wave
Is mine, is mine that dwells within.
And feel my Life, my fond caress
Which stirs the very breeze to rise,
To tremble in each secret place .......
The world that sighs in my embrace.
Behold my love for planet Earth -
The velvet Spring and Summer's height;
The bronze of Autumn's farewell tears,
The frozen rain in drifts so white.
Yet see my Soul within thine eyes,
And in each lustred bead of dew;
Where mirrored waters softly creep -
Behold my face within the deep.
