TESSERACT CITY

He said,
"Meet me in the City of Illusion
That hangs between the twilight and the dawn;

I met him where the high sun was shining,
Standing by the tall towers of crystal;
He took me where the blue winds were flying;
In happiness he laughed, yet he was crying.

"Oh, it is the wonder of the world," he said;
"Oh, it is the jewel of the sky," he said,
"Everything impossible you'll find there -
Tesseract city out of Time."

I met him where the pale sky was dreaming,
Walking on a roadway of silver;
He took me where the moonmist was sweeping -
And I looked down and saw the stars beneath me.

He said,
"Welcome to the City of Illusion
That hangs between the twilight and the dawn;
