I Believe.

I believe in a place
Where my dreams become as common place
As the reality of my thoughts;
Unending, constantly changing, rearranging,
My vision, a perfect earth.
I believe in a clearer view a peace so perfect,
Perfectly translucent, crystalline new;
No impure thoughts polluting my clarity of mind.
No more conflicts where people don’t even bat an eye.
I believe in no more tears raining from the skies
Falling like angels subverted by lies;
Cemented ideals unable to grow,
Un-flourishing youth betrayed by those in the know.
I see the elderly diminished to live lives of a living hell
Whilst corporate giagatia is seen as the way to excel;
Education for the rich, unemployment now a revolving door,
Moral decline the new exchequer, the payback
Pharmaceutical medications for the certified insane;
Obesity now an accessory, the new urban chic
The west looks on as children die every second
In Africa’s drowning heat;
Where dreams of a handful of meal
Helps them to sleep, a God unseen
Receives their spirits; grain still out of reach.
I no longer believe in a world of peace.
And no longer dream endlessly of life being an overflowing feast;
I look through thoughts starved of sustenance, I crawl
To the democratic beat, of a new world order
Where demons live in high places and angel’s die in city streets.
