Flesh Amalgamation
By itsnotnatural
- 528 reads
Intersecting reality and surreality
Just a cut above our comprehension
They join limbs
Shifting
Cannot flesh out the flesh
Stretching skin
And distorted bone
Always adding more
Always trying to
Sort itself out
Into something
That resembles you and me
Made from you and me
A trillion lost souls
Screaming out
To escape
From the ever-changing
Amalgamated form
As they converge and combine
Into a new mind
Yet it is not us
We don't live
On the same planes
Of consciousness
As the flesh amalgamation
That surrounds us

Gosh!
Definitely got the category spot-on with this one. I was a little unsure about the change from the plural to the singular ('They join limbs' and then 'Always trying to sort itself out) but maybe that was a concious poetic device that you decided on to disconcert the reader still further.
Well done.
