La Bomba

there’s
a nuclear family: straight out of 1962. 
pops watches the marx brothers on a t.v. set.  mom washes dishes in the kitchen.  bro wrecks an action man.  aesthetic. 
plaid.  clean.  nice. 
uber calm.  there is a knock at
the front door.  sis and black boyfriend,
josh, pulled up in a bummed-out. 
clapped-out.  fuel-guzzling
caddy-lac.  it’s time for dinner.  at the table, pops at the helm, he
explodes.  they explode.  the house explodes.  suburbia explodes.  the atom bomb they live inside has been
dropped.  a spray-painted ritchie vallens
strumming a guitar is on the side.  it’s
called la bomba and i’m the pilot.  i
dropped it on vladivostock.
