Freedom

Stun me with enclaves, alleyways down which my mind may wander,
Lose the tools I relied upon before, nakedly stepping warily forward,
The light comes toward me and looms all around of a sudden,
Collects me in an embrace, pressed into its bosom I am freed.
Luminous the world glows, the sky a network of possibility,
By night a puzzle and herald of futures, by day a mountainous
Region of cloud clusters the eye may climb, thwarting impossibility,
Demolishing the walls built up before, the world lying reassuringly innocent.
Nature takes its toll, and time demands I rest, as eyes
Search to be rejuvinated, as castle walls increase in size,
Proud monument to the self's survival, and reconconstruction to
A new blueprint, blockades against disorder, as chaos reigns supreme elsewhere.
Where wars anticipate resolution, peace recedes the need for exploration,
And time the bastion of hope leans in, stressing its existence,
Breaking barriers, but entrenching fears, and the self attempts to
Dream, to release those seeds of emotion, to breathe, to be.
