Musical Mice. 2nd half.

I gathered the gang together, explained my idea, did a few auditions. It was apparent that although there were some talented ones, a lot of them squeaked flat. I weeded out the best we had and got to work. I realized then that we needed a voice coach to turn us into professionals. I put an advert in the Musical Mouse Magazine. Are you still keeping up with me? Have another cuppa and a biscuit. I wish it was something stronger but times are hard.
Where was I? Ah yes, the voice coach. The advert was answered straight away. Funny little mouse when he turned up, all wavy arms and bags of artistic temperament, but he had authority and that's what we needed. Some of us would squeak what they wanted while others squeaked something totally different. It was chaos, dear! He soon sorted us out and made us into a proper group. We worked hard, very hard, but we became good, so good that we went to the Mouse Cyber Cafe to launch ourselves on the Internet. Our single was called "Don't forget to leave a few pickings." You've heard it? Of course you have. It was an instant hit. I composed it.
So dear, that's our story. I'll now give you a scoop for your paper. The offer only came today so no one else knows about it. We have been chosen to sing in the Christmas Variety Show, going out live on Zenith Mouse TV on Christmas Eve. We'll all be dressed in red coats with fake fur trimmings to our hoods. I can't wait! I think your photographer has just arrived. I'll get the group together for the photo. I'll stand right in the front so no one misses me. Well, it was my idea after all!
