THOUGHTS ON 2012.

Another year has flown on by,
Regrets there are a few.
Let's look what's happened here,
You'll find there's nothing new.

Politicians here and there
Find decisions hard to make.
One thing's for sure,but very sure,
They're mostly on the take.

The Hollandes, Camerons, Merkels and all
Are struggling to keep things afloat.
We who are trying to live without pain
Could wish someone else drove the boat!

Now power is not easy we know.
The temptations are great, that is true.
But changing their minds like the wind
Just does nothing for me and for you.

Just 40 years ago our leaders signed a treaty.
Now one of its parents says we got it wrong.
But Dave and Nick just make us sick.
I'm sure they'll get a gong!

If you were born in Baby Boom
You are blamed for lots of ills.
You're much too old to carry on.
The doc's refuse you pills!

We drink too much our leaders say
But if we don't, we will still pay.
Enjoy a pint is now luxury,
So if you're old just go away!

Remember a pint at less than two bob?
Then you're 70 plus and going down.
A pint at 4 quid ain't far away
Especially as Osborne's an incompetent clown.

Do not fall ill at the weekend
Or live far away from the doc.
For the system of healthcare is broken,
Cry for help and then watch the clock!

Now two leaders from Luxemburg both
Say the English are just whining hounds.
They disagree with the rest just like that,
But don't leave us we do need your pounds.

Now we come to the moment of "bottle".
That's our problem with two leading prats.
They argue all night with each other
While England is eaten by rats!

Marriage is now put in question,
By jokers who don't realise
That the birthrate will rise a lot slower
And taxes will just have to rise.

To finish my thoughts for the moment
I look to the future with hope.
But confidence wanes very quickly
When I dream of the first lady Pope!!
