My own Lovey Darling,
Thank goodness I was able to come at least this far with you.
I was so glad to get your wire when you got back saying you were feeling better. The machinery has gone and we are off tonight. I sent off a parcel to you today. Send back the moccasins if not right. They are 6s not 5s. I couldn't get any nice enough for you in 5s.
Muir is waiting to go. Train goes in 15 minutes and we are still in the hotel. Hope the flannelette will do. All my dearest love darling. I'll write tomorrow.
For always your adoring Mark.
Love to all

My own Sweetheart,
We arrived here at 4 a.m. And now ten to nine & we've loaded the machinery on to a lorry & are waiting for the car to take us out to Swan Lake,.
I wrote in a great hurry yesterday – just to let you know I sent off the moccasins, flannelette & pipe for Cecil. The moccasins were the best I could get. I'm afraid they will be too large but I expect by waiting a little, they could get you a pair of 5s. I'm no judge of flannelette but the Irish linen man said it was good. It was only $2 for 6 yds. I hope it really is what you wanted. Wasn’t that a marvelous shopping record we put up!! Don't forget you are to get some silk nighties – don't need to make 'em.
Peter turned up and we saw a lot of him. He was waiting to see what happen to the Turkish question & if that cleared up he was going to visit Salt Spring shortly.
Eric and I did pretty well as to the government store during the week! Peter also found that his capacity was greater than he had hoped it for some years past. Well, we've got to get down to it now, if this thing is to make good by November 1. They were raising money a little more easily the last few days.
You were an utter old darling to come up to me & it will be very different up here without you sweetheart. I do hope you are feeling fit again now, poor old lamb. All for now. God bless you my darling.
For always you adoring Mark.
Love and Kisses to Joey darling and Cecil and all at
Vesuvius specially Sister Mummy Una.

It was good to read that Mark
It was good to read that Mark was showing concern in his letter. Gwen is a very lucky lady.
So nice to be able to share their thoughts in these letters.
Jenny.

They seem very fond of each
They seem very fond of each other. Why is he moving? was it planned all along, all part of the same project? Rhiannon
