Life in Motion (13th January, 2009, 12.02pm)

The world is dark
I sit and sigh
The world is bright
I shade my eyes

In moonlight shudder
In sunlight burn
The cycles come
I never learn

I rise, I fall, I sleep, I cry
I struggle on, no
Question why
I ache, I glow, I hurt, I grin
The downward spiral
Wearing thin

The world is poor
The world is rich
Yet life goes on
Hitch by hitch

I give, I take, I mend, I break
For all others, I
You forsake
I cheat, I fake, I love, I hate
The ending only
My mistake

What can I say, Jennifer, except I really love this one. On the face it, so simple and yet it says so much. "The world is poor The world is rich Yet life goes on Hitch by hitch" One of my favourite stanzas. Tina:-)x

I liked the rythm here it made me think of how I feel when I have a fever at night and everything is hyper, yet as Tina suggests it does seem simple but as I say hyper. If that makes sense. Val
