* I think I wrote this during one of our typical " white " Aprils. First one I attempted.
Within my soul freedom grows
In meadows stumbled upon,
Blades bend beneath my toes
The temptation first found my nose
Then brought my feet around,
Within my soul freedom grows
Still the risk of thorns I suppose
Mud embraces the budding stems,
Blades bend beneath my toes
Monarchs flutter to and fro
While caterpillars crawl around,
Within my soul freedom grows
Distorted reflections in water's flow
Searching for my other face,
Blades bend beneath my toes
Lost in daydreams 'til twilight's embrace
Star stained skies blanket my eyes,
Within my soul freedom grows
Blades bend beneath my toes.
