Tell me friend, will I haunt your thoughts tonight?
While you lie with him will you remember
I stemmed your tears and held your hand tight
And made the anger possible to bear?
Tell me friend, do you long to talk to me
When you are feeling unloved and helpless?
Please, together we can set each other free -
I’ll save you and you will cure my darkness.
Tell me friend, if these words are disloyal,
I know he is a friend of yours, and mine
But you and I are the same, we both toil
And fight with our dark sides time after time.
Tell me love; are you content and happy
In the dark when I am not there with thee?

Much written between the lines, I feel.
"But you and I are the same, we both toil
And fight with our dark sides time after time."
Never more see than here ... or so it would seem.
I enjoyed reading this. A good poem.

Found this when I clicked on Random Story. Strong emotions, think a lot of people have or will experiece the same ones. You expressed them well.
