A train, a view

The train, a view.
From the train window
Yellow fields look peaceful
Despite their violent name.
Greenfields lost if they are built on,
Brownfields regained.
A gasometer held up by nothing,
A scarecrow, a straw smile,
Some kind of lesson?
Now an industrial estate -
the fifth - not light,
A suburb without a centre,
An analogy, of what?
There a warehouse
Primed to sell me merchandise
I don't know I need.
A competition, a view of the world
Pylons or trees.
