Dark matter of the Soul ? -

All that dark matter swimming around
In the farthest reaches of my being
Mystery upon misery,
Sadness clinging to the porpoise tail of emotion
Swirling masses of inchoate energies
Blasting my mind with siren songs
What calm port in a storm
Can the Ulysses of my soul hope for
Lashed to the writhing rudder
In a waterless sea of doubts and fears?
Where do I pay the boatman
Who will navigate the Styx of my longings?
Is Hades the narrow entrance
To the Elysian Fields of my eternity?
What price the Golden Fleece
Of my maudlin fantasies now?
Or does the storm-wrecked vessel
Find calm in the fellowship of the damned?
