Here in these streets of judges and police
Where we unlace the textiles of our days,
I used to search you in the tales from Greece
Which speak across the eons, phrase by phrase,
Or in the nervous tongue of modern men,
Who’d pour their angst and wisdom in a book
Till ‘Once upon a time’ became back then.
I never thought I’d find you in the nook
Between the shade of that which can’t be said
And the refulgent torch-lights of the verb
That roots what we can write to what we’ve read.
The seas of light and shade do not disturb
Me anymore when I am on the isle
My mind creates – remembering your smile.

Can't help but smile at this lovely thought:
'The seas of light and shade do not disturb
Me anymore when I am on the isle
My mind creates – remembering your smile.'
