People will not return my smile,
Nor look me in the eye;
They may sigh or even cry,
But they will not look me in the eye.
My friends will talk about me,
Walk around me,
Touch me, say goodbye,
But they will not look me in the eye.
My family will miss me,
Some of them may even kiss me,
And although they may all cry,
None of them will look me in the eye.
How I wish they all could see
The happiness in my eyes,
When my spirit reaches its eternal rest,
Far above the skies.
