THE TWO FACES OF WINTER

Winter reigned haughtily and cold,
Her hissing breath blew away
Summer's blazing hot gold.
Dark brown dregs of autumn leaves,
Trembled in her icy breeze.
Evergreen trees that looked so cool,
Were brutally battered,
Broken, and tossed in a pool,
In winter's chilling reign.
Winter will come around again,
In a beautiful white gown,
Wearing sparkling icicles
In her glittering crown.
She'll spread a soft white blanket,
All over her domain.
She'll be winter most lovely,
When she comes again.
